I live in a place near one of the most famous Beaches in Mexico. Cabo San Lucas is situated in South Baja. For the past 5 years I have taught Americans, Canadians and English Speakers of all ages, to communicate in Spanish while living in Los Cabos.
Prior to this I was an English Teacher in Mexico City. I obtained my English Teaching Diploma in 2008. Four years later I wanted to improve my knowledge and confidence as a teacher, so I studied for another year and I got my ICELT: In-service Certificate in English Language Teaching By Cambridge.
Later my University degree in Communications opened doors for me to work in different schools around Mexico teaching both English and Spanish.
During the past two years and due to my qualifications I have homeschooled different teenagers following University of Texas Curriculum for Highschool and Jr. Highschool and also, Alpha Omega Monarch School, both online programs.
I wanted to become a Language teacher because I believe there should be joy in the learning process as much as in the teaching process. The success of my students when they can communicate their ideas and navigate their way through society brings me joy.
I adapt my lessons to suit your needs, your interests and your motivations. In other words, let’s have fun while learning a new language or improving your own.
I use New Technologies as tools for my classes such as: Kahoots, Videos, Socrative, and many more interactive apps.
I include a lot of fun songs and exercises to help your learning process in a natural way. I am a strong believer in learning through practice..
I encourage my students to explain their specific needs so I can adapt accordingly.
As an English, Spanish and Literature Teacher in Mexico, I am also a Grammar and Linguistics specialist, therefore I can provide specific and tailored help to suit your grammar and vocabulary needs, as well as your school needs.
I provide you with daily conversations and interesting topics to develop the class. I always keep track of the class development to help my students develop their confidence in their own language progress by using the language in real life situations. I really enjoy seeing the improvement of my students , often in a very short period of time.
In addition, I have a lot of experience preparing students for their Cambridge Exams, such as: Ket, Pet, and First Certificate, as well as any of their school evaluations including their Jr. High, High School or University Spanish or English Language Courses.
